death sensitivity and gem sensing permisisons
ARU WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO PLAY AN UNDERWORLD KID?
Look good question! Especially playing an underworld kid who requires two different sets of permissions. Below I'm only going to include one form, but it's going to dual for two different permissions death sensitivity and gem sensing. Because you know, sometimes characters are just like that.
DEATH SENSITIVITY
As a child of Hades/Pluto, Hazel is capable of sensing something they call death aura. A death aura is essentially someone's physical life force. If they're fine and healthy it doesn't get pinged. However, if they're dying she's able to sense it - almost to the approximate of how close they are if she concentrates. She's also, by this nature, able to sense if someone has died, sense nearby ghosts/spirits, and if they have strong connections with death that would ping it.
How far away someone needs to be for her to know if someone dies is canonically kind of limitless since she and Nico could sense if people were dead in Tartarus. I guess(?) she also has the added bonus of having visions/nightmares of deaths of people she's particularly close to (this is not something I'll ever play with unless agreed upon). Essentially, if your character becomes closer CR to her, she could probably tell if they're in threat of death/dying even if they're some distance apart. Barring all plot interventions.
Please note, in this case, I'll always ask permission if a character does die if it can be used to alert others in the first place. I'll generally treat this as "someone died, Hazel doesn't know who" unless otherwise discussed. While I want to make sure to include that, this permissions is more for "does your character have a strong association with death/has died/is dying and are you okay with her reading it?"
Feel free to get creative with the sense of death. While a normal thing like an illness or dying and simply being reincarnated may feel a little more simple, Hazel does at one point describe what death normally feels like versus what an unsettling/creepy one for her was (an army of undead, specifically a lot of their friends being controlled). So since canons are so different if you feel it'll read as particularly weird/creepy/unsettling even for a kid of the underworld feel free to add depth!
GEM SENSING
Hazel has the ability to sense and control gems. In terms of Austice, she's capable of sensing other's soul gems but cannot control or summon them. As she gets to know more people and if they're personally carrying their gems, she may be able to identify them more personally by its composition than having seen it. In a way! This kind of makes her a living gps tracker for just identifying where someone else is.
While Hazel wouldn't use this for nefarious purposes and would need to really try/concentrate to learn it with everyone - she'd more naturally be able to recognize closer cr after a while - and I've no intention of using it without plotting... I still recognize this is something players may be uncomfortable with if their characters are hiding their gems or what not. So I'm happy to play with 'whoops even if she should feel a gemstone near by she doesn't!'
PERMISSIONS
I'm sorry if this a mess and hopefully, it makes sense! Ultimately, for deeper things, please know I'll never use it unless discussed or prompted. So if someone doesn't respond to this permissions post I'll assume she can neither read their aura or get any sense of their gemstone.

CHARACTER NAME: Ookurikara
DEAD/UNDEAD?: not dying, just immortal! mostly.
DYING: sure! this will come up if anything happens to his human form, or if his sword takes any damage, but as of now it's mostly normal, so no worries about dying for him yet.
GEM SENSING: yea! he has a fire opal in a plain, circular shape, mostly black and red. it had a scratch on the face upon arrival, with black edges (though it might be hard to tell), but that's been filled in with clear stone at this point.
additionally, this is a little (weighs hands) since hazel's metal-sensing powers are usually for precious metals, so i'm a little unsure if steel would fit with that. but since it's tied to his life i'll note it here anyway? the gem will seem to be tied to the sword he carries, since that is kara's true form. any damage to the sword will reflect on his human body, and vice versa - so if the sword is cracked, he'll basically be on the verge of death until it gets fixed. likewise, if he takes a bad wound on his human form, the sword will show cracks or signs of breaking until he heals or the sword is repaired. just wanted to note that too since she's shown some control over weaponry before!
